Business close to home
Merko apartment buildings offer suitable spaces for offices, retail businesses, cafés and restaurants.
We build solutions that perfectly match the customer’s needs.
The coming year will see a rise in VAT in Estonia from the current rate of 20% to the new rate of 22%, as a result of which buying a home in 2023 will be cheaper than buying one in 2024. If you enter into both a sales contract under the law of obligations and a real rights contract by the end of the year, the VAT on the total value of the transaction will remain 20%. If you enter into the sales contract this year but only sign the real rights contract next year, the 22% rate of VAT will apply to the outstanding amount to be paid when entering into the latter in 2024. In other words, the more you pay this year, the cheaper your new home will be.
Merko as a
developer of commercial premises
The buildings built by Merko and the commercial premises in them have been planned carefully with the help of the best architects and designers. At the customer’s request, we will do all the necessary additional work.
Every business is unique
Many businesses have found a cosy home in our apartment buildings – the street level is a great location for cafés, restaurants, small shops and beauty salons; the office apartments on the upper floors are perfect for small businesses.
In 2018, we were in a great hurry to move to new business premises as our lease on the old place was about to expire. We chose premises with a sea view at Noblessner where development was still in progress and construction only halfway done. Merko had about 1.5 months to finish the entire interior design. Despite an extremely tight schedule, we worked out a necessary compromise in each situation and managed to move in right on time. We are very satisfied with our choice to this day!
I am a big fan of Noblessner and I chose the site as it was a new up-and-coming residential and retail development project.
