Construction and a wide range of additional services
We build business and office complexes, shopping and entertainment centres, hotels and spas, production and industrial buildings, apartment buildings, schools, hospitals, museums and other public buildings. We have erected new high-rises on narrow sites in the heart of the city, built large production and industrial parks in regional and urban centres, and reconstructed old and dignified heritage sites.
We offer strategic consulting and complete solutions to meet the customer's needs, from the preparation and design of the development project, the analysis of technical solutions and structural calculations to interior design and warranty services for completed buildings.
How do we build
at such great heights? The Maakri business quarter was built in extremely complex conditions in the heart of the city. It connects seven buildings, four of which are architectural monuments from the early 20th century and three new buildings. The erection of a 30-storey building is something you don’t see every day.

Civil engineering and infrastructural works
We design and build public utilities (drinking water purification and waste water treatment plants, pumping stations, public water supply and sewerage pipelines, vacuum sewerage systems), roadworks (roads, bridges, tunnels, viaducts, railways, squares), harbour projects (quays, breakwaters), residual pollution control and other engineering and technical works. Our construction teams build pipelines using the excavation method and directional drilling technology.
Subsidiary of Merko Ehitus AS, Tallinna Teede AS, offers all road maintenance works, the company has an asphalt factory and a certified laboratory for testing roads and road construction materials.
The rocket science of
civil engineeringBuilding a tram tunnel under a running train is no joke. It requires exceptionally thorough planning, fine-tuned execution and good partners. A kilometre of new tram track is not only an opportunity to travel to the airport, but a connection to all flight destinations in the world.

Construction of electricity networks, production and consumer installations
We design and build medium and high voltage electricity networks. Merko delivers substations, cable lines, grid connection points, production or consumer installations and all other components in the supply of electricity. We also design and construct internal consumer installations, and electricity networks and lighting solutions for apartment buildings.
We supply the necessary materials, construct buildings and other structures, install, set up and test equipment and commission the electrical installation. We are trusted by electricity providers as a vital service in Estonia, and we also have experience with international customers and cooperation projects.
Electricity
creates opportunitiesWe have organised the transport of cargo weighing 230 tonnes, transporting a substation transformer; we have laid a 20 cm cable on the sea bed – all for the sake of higher quality electricity supply so that the people of Estonia can have the lights on at all times.

Construction and assembly of reinforced concrete structures
We build cast-in-place and prefabricated concrete structures for general construction, engineering and energy supply projects. With our experienced skilled workers, we build concrete floors, intermediate ceilings and other monolithic reinforced concrete structures and assemble reinforced concrete elements.
We have erected concrete structures for high-rise buildings in the city centre, large hotels and offices, large-scale sports facilities, parking garages and beautifully designed apartment buildings. Our specialists have completed important traffic junctions, viaducts and tunnels, and we have built the foundations for power plants and wind farms.
Anything

In 2019, a camera was installed on the roof of the previously awarded building to capture the rise of Tallink’s new office building.Concrete works
