Merko Ehitus' subsidiary SIA Merks, established in 1997, has grown into one the most significant construction companies in Latvia. The prominent works like Hansabank's head offices and the Arena Riga completed in time for the hockey world championship have earned the company a lot of recognition. Among other things, the company won the Latvian Builders' Association prize for the best office building and the International Real Estate Federation award in the category of the best business and industrial premises.
