In sports sector we support the development of the youth sport and the projects contributing to the creating of the possibilities for sporting and active vacation for many people.
International ITF-series tennis tournament Merko Open 2010 in Tere tennis centre in Tondi on 17-24 July 2010.
The international ITF-series tennis tournament "Merko Open 2010" for men will be attended by total of about 50 players from the world's leading tennis countries.
Estonia is represented in the competition by our best players - Jürgen Zopp, Mait Künnap, Vladimir Ivanov and Mikk Irdoja, also the Estonian best potential young tennis players.
The qualification tournament of competitions is held on 17-18 July and the main tournament on 19-24 July, the matches take place in Tondi in TERE tennis centre at Marsi str. 4.
The matches of the Estonians in the opening circles have been planned to take place at 13, 15 and 17. The exact time schedule of matches of the competition day is specified by the night of the previous day.

ESTONIAN HEALTH TRACKS
The largest sponsorship project of Merko Ehitus is the undertaking Estonian Health Tracks initiated by Hansapank, Eesti Energia and Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Estonia and the Estonian Ski Association. The aim of the project is to adjust and develop the exercise and sports tracks of Estonia to ensure the availability of the year-round and free possibility for active exercise in nature for all interested people and popularize the sporty lifestyle. The total of 30 million kroons will be invested to the project of health tracks within three years, of which 10 million kroons will be invested by Merko Ehitus. www.terviserajad.ee
In 2009 Merko Ehitus, Swedbank and Eesti Energia support the wintertime sports series Merko Winter Tracks, initiated by the Estonian Health Tracks Foundation and organized by the sports club Stamina. In addition to the creation of maintained sporting grounds, we aspire to promote regular exercise among Estonians.
The wintertime sports series offers people the possibility to spend more time outside and be physically active. Only we ourselves can build a solid foundation for our health - all you need is a little ambition and go-ahead.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL
We support the establishing of the centre of beach volleyball and football compliant with the international requirements in Tallinn. The objective of the project is to guarantee the normal training conditions for the top players, the young, amateurs as well as to organise the training camps and competitions. Beach volleyball is the fast developing sport, offering active and sporty entertainment in summer for all interested persons as well as challenges for the more serious amateurs and top sportsmen. NATIONAL YOUTH SKI TEAM OF MERKO
